Roles & Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, modular, and testable code for mid-sized features and components within Mastercard’s payment solutions ecosystem.

• Participate in the full development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, system design, coding, unit testing, and deployment.

• Ensure that the software is secure, performant, and aligned with Mastercard’s standards for reliability and compliance.

• Work closely with product owners, architects, and other engineers to deliver features on time and with high quality.

• Document software solutions, technical designs, and operational workflows to ensure smooth collaboration and knowledge sharing.

• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to resolve software issues in production and development environments.

• Take ownership of assigned modules and monitor runtime performance, dependencies, and system health.

• Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

• Stay updated on industry trends, new programming techniques, and security best practices to continuously improve product quality.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming principles.

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or C++.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control tools such as Git.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities to debug and optimize complex systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.

• Awareness of secure coding practices and ability to follow organizational security guidelines.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and multicultural environment.

• Willingness to continuously learn new technologies, frameworks, and approaches to software engineering.
