This role goes beyond execution, requiring deep involvement in continuous integration and deployment pipelines, performance validation, and proactive quality risk assessment throughout the development lifecycle.

In addition to hands-on testing and automation, this role carries strong leadership and mentorship responsibilities. You will guide junior engineers, influence quality best practices, and collaborate with developers to build quality into the product from the earliest stages. By collecting quality metrics, driving process improvements, and supporting operational automation, you will play a critical role in Mastercard’s digital transformation and delivery of innovative, reliable payment solutions worldwide.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead test automation strategy for Agile SCRUM teams, ensuring comprehensive validation of APIs, UI components, and end-to-end workflows.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks aligned with Agile and CI/CD best practices.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and developers to define test plans, schedules, and acceptance criteria.

• Translate complex system requirements into detailed test cases, automation scenarios, and testing methodologies.

• Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to validate application stability and scalability.

• Generate and manage test data, coordinate environment readiness, and execute test plans with accurate reporting.

• Identify defects, regressions, and quality risks early by working closely with development teams and reviewing logs and code behavior.

• Document test strategies, performance test plans, and quality metrics, clearly communicating risks and status to stakeholders.

• Support CI/CD pipelines by providing automation tests as quality gates for continuous delivery.

• Mentor junior engineers, perform technical reviews, and act as a quality champion within the team.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Strong experience in advanced software development and test automation, including framework design and code reviews.

• Proven expertise in building automation frameworks and writing acceptance, integration, and regression test scripts.

• Hands-on experience with Agile testing methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous testing practices.

• Solid understanding of API testing, system integrations, and UI automation across web and mobile platforms.

• Ability to analyze application logs, perform debugging, and identify root causes of defects.

• Experience validating complex applications through automation for both new features and regression cycles.

• Familiarity with performance testing concepts, test data management, and environment configuration.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor peers and guide less experienced team members.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with global teams and present quality insights to stakeholders.
