Infosys Limited, a global leader in technology consulting and digital transformation, is looking for a talented Python Appium Automation Tester to join its Engineering Services team in Pune. This role is suited for experienced testing professionals with 5–8 years of expertise in mobile automation testing and a strong foundation in Python scripting.

As a key member of the Infosys delivery team, you will play a pivotal role in automating mobile test scenarios across iOS and Android platforms, validating architectures, ensuring robust quality assurance, and interfacing with clients to drive software excellence. You will also guide junior engineers, contribute to solution delivery, and participate in digital transformation initiatives for global clients.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Interface with clients to ensure quality assurance, defect resolution, and high customer satisfaction.

• Develop, execute, and maintain Appium-based test automation scripts using Python.

• Participate in requirement analysis, system/software integration, and validation.

• Contribute to project estimation, risk planning, solution design, and code reviews.

• Work with manual and automated testing approaches to ensure end-to-end coverage.

• Guide and mentor team members to deliver optimized, high-quality automation code.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Use Jira, Git, and configuration management tools for tracking, version control, and process compliance.

• Perform application performance and memory utilization analysis using testing tools.

• Support client-side mobile application testing for shipped Android/iOS products.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Computer Science/IT (or equivalent).

• 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.

• Hands-on expertise in Appium and Python automation frameworks.

• Solid understanding of mobile testing principles (iOS & Android).

• Familiarity with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) Stack, oscilloscopes, DVM, and BLE sniffers.

• Strong knowledge of OOP concepts, system integration, and verification processes.

• Practical experience with manual testing alongside automation.

• Proficiency with tools like Jira, Git, SoapUI, and test management systems.

• Exposure to AWS cloud technologies and mobile app CI/CD is desirable.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Expected Salary

For a Python Appium Automation Tester in Pune, the expected salary range is ₹10 LPA – ₹16 LPA, based on experience and technical expertise. Globally, similar roles earn between $80,000 – $110,000 annually. Candidates with strong knowledge of BLE stack and cloud technologies may command higher compensation.
