Job Description

The QA Automation Engineer (API Testing & Selenium) role at FIS is a senior-quality engineering position within the Product Development organization, focused on delivering highly reliable, scalable, and secure fintech platforms. This role is part of the FIS Quantum product team, an award-winning treasury management system used by Fortune 500 enterprises worldwide to manage cash, debt, investments, and financial risk. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for embedding quality into every stage of the development lifecycle while working on complex, mission-critical financial systems.

In this role, you will work closely with business analysts, developers, and product owners within an Agile Scrum framework to define test strategies, design automation solutions, and ensure continuous delivery of high-quality features. You will take ownership of building and maintaining robust automation frameworks, executing API and UI automation, and ensuring consistent “green builds” across CI pipelines. Your work will directly influence release stability, customer confidence, and regulatory readiness of enterprise-grade products.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate within Scrum teams to understand business requirements, define test strategies, and prioritize quality goals.

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts, utilities, simulators, and datasets for UI and API testing.

• Execute API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured to validate backend services and integrations.

• Implement and maintain Selenium-based automation frameworks using C# .NET, NUnit, and WebDriver technologies.

• Perform usability, performance, scalability, and security-focused testing to ensure enterprise-grade system reliability.

• Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines using Jenkins and ensure stable, repeatable test execution.

• Monitor test results, analyze failures, and work with development teams to drive defect resolution and root-cause analysis.

• Maintain and organize automation test repositories and libraries following industry best practices.

• Support release processes by validating builds, certifying features, and ensuring readiness for production deployment.

• Identify quality risks early and proactively recommend mitigation strategies to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Computer Applications.

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.

• Strong expertise in Selenium automation using C# .NET, NUnit, and WebDriver.

• Proven experience in API testing with REST services using Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and automation design patterns.

• Experience with relational databases such as SQL or PostgreSQL for backend data validation.

• Exposure to cloud and DevOps ecosystems including AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and test execution.

• Familiarity with modern automation tools such as Playwright is an added advantage.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams.

Expected Salary
