Job Description
As a Quality Automation Engineer at Equifax, you will play a critical role in shaping the quality, performance, and reliability of digital products used by millions of customers worldwide. This role blends hands-on automation expertise with strong analytical thinking, enabling you to influence software design, improve testability, and contribute to defect prevention strategies. You will work on high-priority initiatives, validate new products, and ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and security. Your work will focus on building scalable automation solutions, creating test harnesses, validating system flows, and contributing to ongoing quality engineering improvements across the organization.
In this position, you will collaborate with developers, product managers, SDETs, and QA leaders to ensure that testing is deeply integrated into every stage of the development lifecycle. You will help modernize quality frameworks, work with cloud platforms, perform detailed debugging, and leverage tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Maven, and Zephyr to drive measurable improvements. Roles & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test strategies that cover functional, non-functional, performance, and resilience aspects of digital products.

Automate test cases using modern frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, or related tools, ensuring strong coverage and repeatability.

Create and maintain test harnesses, infrastructure scripts, and automation suites to support continuous integration pipelines.

Review application architecture, requirements, and detailed design documents to identify potential risks and testing considerations.

Develop test data, scripts, and environments that simulate real-world scenarios and support complex test workflows across cloud platforms.

Monitor product development, validate user journeys, and evaluate product quality through rigorous analytical methods.

Perform root-cause analysis on defects, document findings clearly, and support developers in resolving issues efficiently.

Execute test plans using defined scripts, update logs, retest resolved issues, and ensure accurate traceability across JIRA and Zephyr.

Conduct load and stress testing using enterprise tools, contributing to performance tuning and benchmarking activities.

Evaluate unit test coverage, collaborate with engineers to improve code quality, and ensure consistent automation adoption.

Participate in sprint ceremonies, review sessions, and cross-team discussions to strengthen engineering collaboration.

Suggest enhancements to QA methodologies, frameworks, and tools to improve quality engineering practices across the organization.
Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent hands-on experience in software testing and automation engineering.

2–5 years of experience in software testing, including strong exposure to automation frameworks and test script development.

Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and related testing libraries, along with knowledge of Maven or Gradle build systems.

Experience writing automated tests for both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance and resilience scenarios.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP); a cloud certification is strongly preferred.

Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to identify defects, understand application flows, and validate system behaviours.

Experience working with test management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Office Suite, Jenkins, or similar.

Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation, automation plans, scripts, and defect reports with high accuracy.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and QA teams.

Ability to manage shifting priorities, take initiative with minimal supervision, and operate effectively in dynamic environments.
Expected Salary
