Job Description:
As a Quality Automation Engineer at Equifax, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of high-priority initiatives. You will take ownership of identifying defects, logging them in tools like JIRA, and retesting to ensure resolution. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks to ensure repeatable and efficient test execution.

• Create and execute functional and non-functional test plans based on business requirements.

• Collaborate with developers and product owners to identify risks, improve test coverage, and ensure delivery quality.

• Automate regression test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines for faster releases.

• Execute manual and automated tests, document results, and log defects with clear reproducible steps.

• Develop test harnesses and scripts for performance, scalability, and resilience testing.

• Analyze product quality metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

• Participate in code reviews for test scripts and share feedback with other QA engineers.

• Support defect triage, prioritize fixes, and verify resolutions before release.

• Advocate for QA best practices, accessibility, security, and privacy compliance across the engineering team.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related STEM field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 2–5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation and quality engineering.

• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or equivalent frameworks.

• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and cloud-native testing environments.

• Familiarity with defect tracking systems like JIRA and documentation tools like Confluence.

• Strong understanding of software quality principles, performance testing, and bug prevention strategies.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable test scripts and integrate them into automated pipelines.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, GCP) is strongly preferred and will be an added advantage.

The salary for a Quality Automation Engineer at Equifax in Pune typically ranges from ₹8–14 LPA, depending on experience, skills, and certifications.
