Job Description

As a Lead .NET Automation Test Engineer at EPAM Systems, you will play a strategic role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of enterprise-grade software solutions delivered across global markets. This role is designed for experienced automation leaders who combine deep technical expertise with strong ownership of quality standards and delivery outcomes. You will be responsible for shaping test strategies, driving automation adoption, and ensuring that both API and UI layers meet rigorous quality benchmarks using modern .NET-based automation practices.

In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business and technical requirements, provide early feedback, and translate them into comprehensive test plans and automation solutions. You will design and implement robust automation frameworks using C#, leveraging industry-standard tools, design patterns, and CI pipelines. Your contributions will directly influence release stability, defect reduction, and overall engineering excellence across multiple projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and architects to analyze requirements and define test strategies.

• Review business and technical requirements and provide timely, actionable feedback from a quality perspective.

• Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases aligned with project objectives and risks.

• Coordinate and prioritize testing activities across automation and manual efforts to meet delivery timelines.

• Design, develop, and execute API and UI automation scripts using C# and modern automation tools.

• Implement and enforce quality standards, ensuring consistency across teams and releases.

• Identify, document, track, and drive resolution of defects with strong attention to detail.

• Monitor QA metrics and continuously improve testing effectiveness, coverage, and efficiency.

• Participate actively in QA and project meetings, contributing insights on risks, progress, and improvements.

• Stay current with emerging testing tools, frameworks, and automation strategies and apply them where relevant.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in .NET automation testing within enterprise environments.

• At least 1+ year of experience in a technical leadership or lead automation role.

• Strong foundation in testing fundamentals, including test design techniques, defect management, and QA methodologies.

• Proven experience working in Agile environments, with in-sprint automation practices.

• Proficiency in C# programming for building and maintaining automation frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with API automation using RestSharp and UI automation using Selenium with C#.

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as NUnit, MSTest, TestNG, and BDD frameworks like SpecFlow.

• Experience applying design patterns such as Page Object, Singleton, and Factory in automation architecture.

• Exposure to CI tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo for integrating automated test suites.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with B2+ level English proficiency.
