Job Description:

EPAM Systems, a global leader in digital platform engineering and software development, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Testing Engineer (Python) to join its Pune team. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering cutting-edge solutions through automation excellence. You’ll be responsible for designing advanced test frameworks, building reusable test scripts, and ensuring that all automation meets EPAM’s high standards of quality and performance. Working within an Agile/Scrum environment, you’ll collaborate closely with developers, architects, and QA professionals to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and testing coverage across multiple releases.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools using Python, Pytest, and Selenium to validate software functionality and performance.

• Develop comprehensive test cases, test data, and scripts to ensure coverage across APIs, UI, and system-level testing.

• Apply BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) principles to improve collaboration and maintainability of test scripts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system architecture, business requirements, and test coverage goals.

• Execute and monitor automation test suites, analyze results, and report defects with detailed documentation.

• Integrate automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines, supporting faster delivery and regression validation.

• Utilize SOAP and REST services for API testing, ensuring full understanding of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) frameworks.

• Conduct troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for failed test executions, identifying improvement opportunities.

• Maintain clear and structured test documentation, logs, and technical reports.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups, providing valuable feedback on testing progress.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• 5–9 years of experience in software testing and test automation, with strong expertise in Python, Selenium, and Pytest.

• Solid understanding of automation frameworks, debugging techniques, and software testing principles.

• Experience in SQL and Oracle databases for data validation and backend verification.

• Proficiency in API testing, using tools such as REST Assured, with a clear grasp of SOAP and REST protocols.

• Working knowledge of SFTP, shell scripting, and SOA architecture for seamless test integration.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail in designing and executing test cases.

• Ability to function efficiently in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating across global teams.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical details clearly.

• A continuous learning mindset, staying updated with the latest test automation tools and methodologies.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

Expected Salary:

A Senior Automation Testing Engineer (Python) at EPAM in India can expect an average salary between ₹15 LPA and ₹25 LPA, depending on experience, expertise, and the complexity of assigned projects. Candidates with strong API automation and CI/CD integration experience may receive compensation at the higher end of this range.
