Job Description:
EPAM is seeking an experienced and passionate JavaScript Automation Test Engineer to join its dynamic team in Pune. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in building robust automated test suites that ensure the quality and performance of modern software systems. You will work with global, cross-functional teams and be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end automation frameworks for UI and API testing. Leveraging tools such as Protractor, Mocha, Chai, Jest, Puppeteer, or Cypress, you will ensure that EPAM continues to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions for clients worldwide.

As a key member of the Quality Engineering team, you will be responsible for defining test strategies, writing automated test cases, and collaborating with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure complete coverage of requirements. Your role will also involve defect tracking, regression testing, and continuous optimization of automation frameworks to enhance overall software delivery speed. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to gather, analyze, and clarify system requirements.

• Design detailed test plans and develop comprehensive automated test cases for UI and API layers.

• Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern testing tools.

• Create, execute, and maintain automation scripts for regression, functional, and integration testing.

• Identify, log, and track software defects to closure, ensuring complete validation of fixes.

• Continuously enhance automation coverage and optimize scripts for faster execution.

• Contribute to defining quality assurance best practices and process improvements across projects.

• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with developers to ensure testability of code.

• Stay up to date with the latest testing tools, frameworks, and strategies to bring innovative ideas into projects.

• Provide clear documentation, reports, and metrics to stakeholders for test execution and quality status.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in automation testing with at least 1.5–2 years focused on JavaScript.

• Hands-on experience with UI test automation tools such as Protractor, Mocha, Chai, Jest, Puppeteer, or Cypress.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for developing and maintaining test scripts.

• Working knowledge of WebdriverIO or similar frameworks for UI test automation.

• Ability to develop and execute API test automation with solid understanding of REST and SOAP protocols.

• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, scripting, and CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills to identify performance and functional issues.

• B2+ level English communication skills to work effectively in global teams.

• Strong collaboration skills with a proactive approach to knowledge sharing and process improvement.

Expected Salary:
JavaScript Automation Test Engineers at EPAM in Pune typically earn between ₹8 LPA and ₹15 LPA, depending on experience, tool expertise, and project complexity. Professionals with advanced automation skills, multiple tool proficiency, and CI/CD exposure may command compensation at the higher end of this range.
