Job Description

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Emerson, you will contribute to the design and development of responsive, scalable, and secure applications that support business-critical digital solutions. This role blends front-end innovation with robust back-end engineering and offers an exciting opportunity to build UI-rich, full-stack platforms using modern technologies like Angular, Ionic, .NET Core, REST APIs, and cloud-based DevOps pipelines. You will translate business concepts, mockups, and wireframes into intuitive user interfaces while ensuring seamless integration with server-side systems and databases.

Your daily work will involve building microservices, developing interactive UI components, integrating APIs, and supporting data persistence with both SQL and NoSQL technologies. You’ll collaborate within an Agile Scrum team, build proof-of-concepts to showcase new ideas, and ensure smooth, predictable delivery across sprints. With exposure to cutting-edge tools and CI/CD practices, this role offers a platform to grow into a well-rounded, high-impact full-stack engineer contributing to Emerson's digital transformation journey.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, Ionic, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript while ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.

  2. Translate business mockups, prototypes, and wireframes into fully functioning UI components aligned with the overall application architecture.

  3. Build, maintain, and enhance server-side features using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, microservices, Windows services, and RESTful API development.

  4. Create prototypes and proof-of-concept applications to demonstrate technical feasibility and innovation opportunities to business leaders.

  5. Integrate client-side applications with REST APIs, services, and backend endpoints to support seamless data interchange.

  6. Work with SQL Express, MongoDB, and other database technologies to manage data storage, retrieval, and optimization for application workflows.

  7. Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams to deliver sprint goals, participate in ceremonies, and uphold product quality commitments.

  8. Debug complex issues across both front-end and back-end layers using Visual Studio Code and platform-specific debugging techniques.

  9. Support CI/CD pipeline development and contribute to automated build and deployment workflows using Azure DevOps Git repositories.

  10. Follow TDD/BDD principles to strengthen test coverage, reliability, and maintainability of full-stack components.

  11. Integrate graphics and charting libraries (AMCharts, HighCharts, D3.js) to present data insights visually and interactively.

  12. Work with push notification technologies such as SignalR to enable real-time communication features within applications.

Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Proven experience developing reusable and responsive user interfaces using Angular (latest version preferred), Ionic, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

  2. Strong understanding of responsive design principles and experience converting UI mockups into functioning interfaces.

  3. Hands-on knowledge of charting libraries such as AMCharts, HighCharts, or D3 for creating data-rich dashboards.

  4. Practical experience integrating REST APIs and backend services into front-end workflows.

  5. Strong debugging skills using Visual Studio Code and proficiency working with Azure DevOps Git repositories.

  6. Working knowledge of REST API development, microservices architecture, and service integrations.

  7. Understanding of real-time communication plugins such as SignalR for push notifications.

  8. Familiarity with CI/CD processes, automated deployments, and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

  9. Exposure to TDD or BDD techniques to build high-quality, testable software.

  10. Preferred: experience with C#, .NET Core, microservices, cybersecurity practices, SQL/NoSQL database concepts, and secure application development principles.

  11. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.

Expected Salary
