Job Description:

Emerson is seeking an Associate Engineer to join its world-class engineering team in Pune. This role is tailored for professionals with expertise in EDDL, GUI, or UI development who are eager to advance their careers by working on innovative industrial instruments. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement user interfaces that comply with strict functional safety requirements.

• Participate in software development activities including coding, integration, and debugging for embedded applications.

• Perform peer reviews of code, ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards.

• Manage source code efficiently using version control tools such as Git or SVN.

• Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to validate UI requirements.

• Collaborate with hardware engineers and firmware/software developers for system-level debugging.

• Identify UI inefficiencies and propose effective improvements to enhance product performance.

• Utilize engineering tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, sniffing tools, and power sources to complete tasks.

• Contribute to embedded testing efforts to ensure the stability and accuracy of field instruments.

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary global team, sharing knowledge and supporting innovation.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunication, IT & Computer, Instrumentation, or M.Sc. Electronics with programming focus.

• 1–2 years of prior development experience in software engineering.

• Strong programming knowledge in EDDL, C, and C++.

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as HART, Modbus, Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, USB, and BLE.

• Experience with version control tools (Git, SVN, etc.) for managing codebases effectively.

• Understanding of microcontrollers (8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit) and their applications.

• Knowledge of serial communication protocols including SPI, I2C, and CAN.

• Ability to design, write, and execute test cases for integration testing.

• Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills with a global and cross-functional approach.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

Expected Salary:

Associate Engineers at Emerson in Pune typically earn between ₹5.0 LPA to ₹8.0 LPA, depending on educational background, technical expertise, and prior experience.
