Job Description

Merkle, a global data-driven performance marketing agency under the Dentsu network, is hiring a QA Engineer at its Pune location. This role is vital in ensuring that software products meet both client expectations and Merkle’s high-quality standards across project life cycles. As a QA Engineer, you will not only be writing and executing test cases but also driving test strategies, reviewing designs, and identifying continuous improvement areas in testing approaches.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and engage in both functional and non-functional testing, handling complex scenarios and business logic. Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and execute accurate test cases covering all business requirements

• Perform positive, negative, and exception scenario testing for full coverage

• Log and track defects with correct prioritization and provide root cause analysis

• Participate in test planning, estimation, and strategy discussions

• Collaborate with design and development teams during design and architecture reviews

• Engage in both functional (manual and automated) and non-functional testing activities

• Proactively identify gaps and improvements in the QA process and suggest improvements

• Create and maintain detailed QA documentation, test reports, and project artifacts

• Mentor junior QA team members, provide training and knowledge transfer

• Analyze production bugs, perform impact analysis, and assist in root cause resolution

• Lead testing efficiency initiatives and collaborate on continuous improvement strategies

• Coordinate with multiple departments to plan and implement end-to-end testing activities

• Participate in architecture and Rapid Application Development (RAD) reviews for new initiatives

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Hands-on experience in test planning, design, execution, and defect management

• Familiarity with testing tools and test automation frameworks (manual experience essential)

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Experience in functional and non-functional testing, including regression, integration, and exploratory testing

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong sense of ownership

• Ability to mentor junior team members and manage documentation for quality assurance

Expected Salary

💰 INR 6.5 LPA – INR 11 LPA
