As a Lead QA Engineer, you will join this high-performing team to ensure software quality is engineered, not just tested.
Role Overview
Weβre seeking a Lead QA Engineer who brings deep expertise in both manual and automated testing, understands the full scope of the software testing lifecycle, and has a passion for building reliable, robust systems.
This role will give you the opportunity to influence testing strategy across cloud-based platforms, work with cutting-edge tools, and mentor junior engineers in test automation best practices. Youβll be directly contributing to product stability, performance, and customer satisfaction at scale.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lead QA Engineer, you will:
π Manual & Exploratory Testing

Conduct comprehensive manual testing to ensure the application meets functionality, usability, and performance benchmarks.

Write detailed test cases that cover multiple scenarios, edge cases, and failure points.
βοΈ Automation Development & Maintenance

Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Robot Framework.

Streamline the regression testing process through reliable and reusable scripts.

Continuously update test automation to adapt to changing requirements.
π Defect Management & Test Lifecycle

Log, track, and manage bugs through the defect lifecycle to ensure resolution aligns with release timelines.

Participate in reviews of technical documents and collaborate with developers for testability improvements.
π§ͺ API and Backend Validation

Perform API testing using tools like Postman and SoapUI to verify service layers and data flow.

Ensure end-to-end validation of backend systems in cloud and microservices environments.
π CI/CD Integration

Develop and manage automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Collaborate with DevOps and engineering to optimize test coverage and execution across builds.
βοΈ Cloud Readiness

Gain and apply foundational knowledge of cloud infrastructure to design and execute relevant test strategies.

Validate cloud-native features on platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
π Test Strategy & Collaboration

Work closely with product owners and developers to shape effective test plans.

Contribute to test reviews, QA best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring:
π Educational Background

Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
π§ Quality Engineering Expertise

10+ years of experience in software testing, with proven expertise in both manual and automated QA.

Deep knowledge of STLC, SDLC, and the Defect Lifecycle.
π§ Technical Skills

Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Robot Framework.

Hands-on experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python.

Solid understanding of Git and version control systems.

API testing experience with Postman and SoapUI.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
