Job Description:
Citi is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to join its Data Governance and Analytics division in Pune. This position offers the opportunity to work within one of the world’s largest financial institutions, contributing to the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of enterprise data. As part of a global team, the Data Quality Analyst will play an essential role in ensuring that Citi’s vast data assets support informed business decisions, risk management, and regulatory compliance across multiple departments.
This role involves analyzing data flows, monitoring data quality processes, and identifying potential gaps in data integrity. The Data Quality Analyst will help develop frameworks for data accuracy, consistency, and standardization across business units, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. By leveraging tools such as Collibra, Tableau, and SQL, you will support the creation of reliable datasets that drive transparency and improve decision-making efficiency within the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Monitor, assess, and evaluate data processes to identify inconsistencies and areas requiring improvement within Citi’s global data ecosystem.

Conduct root-cause analysis for data quality issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define corrective actions and sustainable solutions.

Use Collibra and other governance tools to maintain metadata accuracy and support enterprise-wide data lineage tracking.

Develop and maintain SQL queries to validate data integrity and support reconciliation activities across systems.

Generate and interpret dashboards and visualizations using Tableau to communicate data trends and insights effectively.

Document data quality rules, controls, and exceptions while adhering to established Citi Data Governance standards.

Support the Data Concern Remediation Management process by reporting and tracking data defects to resolution.

Contribute to risk assessment and control processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Provide regular feedback and recommendations for improving data management practices, workflows, and reporting efficiency.

Collaborate with senior analysts and management to deliver accurate, high-quality data that supports business and compliance objectives.
Requirements & Eligibility:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline.

Experience: 0–2 years in data analysis, data governance, or quality management roles within banking, finance, or IT domains.

Technical Skills: Strong command of SQL for querying and validating large datasets; familiarity with Tableau for data visualization and reporting.

Tools & Platforms: Working knowledge of Collibra or similar data governance platforms to manage metadata and data lineage.

Analytical Skills: Ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets with attention to detail and accuracy.

Business Acumen: Understanding of financial industry practices, compliance requirements, and risk management principles.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex data insights clearly to stakeholders.
