Job Description
Cencora is looking for a highly experienced and forward-thinking Test Automation Architect to lead automation strategy and implementation across multiple digital platforms. This role is pivotal to ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of Cencora’s enterprise applications that power global healthcare operations. In this role, you’ll architect end-to-end automation solutions using tools such as Tosca, Selenium, Python, and Playwright, while integrating them with CI/CD pipelines for seamless and efficient deployments. You’ll be responsible for setting up automation best practices, defining KPIs, and ensuring that the organization’s software testing processes meet the highest quality standards. With your leadership, the team will deliver software that supports Cencora’s mission to improve lives across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and animal health domains.
The position demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and process ownership. You’ll work closely with development and product teams to ensure test coverage, improve automation efficiency, and drive quality-first practices across the software development life cycle. Roles & Responsibilities

Lead Automation Initiatives: Drive the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts using Tosca and Selenium, ensuring high reliability and performance across web and mobile applications.

Framework Architecture: Develop scalable and reusable automation frameworks, integrating them with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment.

Automation Metrics & Analysis: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as test coverage, execution speed, and ROI to evaluate automation effectiveness.

End-to-End Ownership: Oversee the complete automation testing lifecycle—from requirement analysis to test execution, defect management, and reporting.

Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish automation strategies and roadmaps that align with organizational goals and delivery timelines.

Mentorship: Guide and coach QA engineers on automation best practices, improving scripting quality, framework stability, and productivity.

Test Planning & Execution: Develop detailed test plans and scenarios, ensuring all product functionalities are thoroughly validated through automation.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and achieve comprehensive test coverage.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance testing tools, methodologies, and reporting processes for better efficiency and accuracy.

Documentation: Maintain clear, structured documentation for test cases, frameworks, and automation standards to support consistency and scalability.
Requirements & Eligibility

Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and test automation, including QA leadership experience.

Strong proficiency in at least one major automation tool: Tosca, Selenium, Python, or Playwright.

Proven track record of designing and implementing automation frameworks that integrate with CI/CD pipelines.

Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including regression, integration, and performance testing.

Experience in automated screening and validation for web and mobile platforms.

Proficiency in technical documentation, automation metrics reporting, and testing frameworks.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze defects, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.

Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

Preferred certifications such as Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or Certified Test Engineer (CTE).

Familiarity with risk-based testing, IT controls, and conflict resolution in dynamic project environments.
