Capgemini: SAP Testing Engineer

Job Description:
Capgemini is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SAP Tester to join its ERP Quality Engineering & Testing practice. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of SAP projects by validating functionalities across modules, conducting end-to-end process testing, and driving quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. As part of a global team, you will collaborate with SAP consultants, developers, and business stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive test strategies.

This position offers the opportunity to work on multiple SAP modules such as MM, SD, FICO, HCM, and PP, where you will conduct manual and automated testing, manage test data, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Your work will directly contribute to smooth system upgrades, integrations, and go-live activities, reducing business risk and enhancing system reliability for Capgemini’s clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to design detailed test plans and test cases for SAP modules.

• Conduct manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Validate end-to-end business processes, interface connections, and data migration accuracy.

• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.

• Utilize test management tools like HP ALM, JIRA, or TestRail for documentation and defect tracking.

• Support performance testing and ensure systems meet non-functional requirements.

• Participate in cutover and post-go-live testing to ensure system stability.

• Provide detailed test execution reports, defect metrics, and recommendations to project stakeholders.

• Adhere to Capgemini’s testing standards, best practices, and compliance frameworks.

• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the QA team.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in SAP testing across multiple modules (MM, SD, FICO, HCM, PP).

• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, business workflows, and integration points.

• Hands-on experience with test management tools like HP ALM, JIRA, or TestRail.

• Familiarity with automation tools such as Worksoft Certify, UFT, or Selenium is an advantage.

• Ability to write, execute, and maintain comprehensive test scripts and scenarios.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.

• ISTQB or other QA certifications are preferred.

• Proactive mindset, ability to work independently, and commitment to quality.

Expected Salary:
SAP Test Engineers at Capgemini in India can expect a competitive salary in the range of ₹6 LPA – ₹12 LPA, depending on experience, skill set, and expertise in automation tools.
