Capgemini is looking for a passionate Playwright Automation Tester to join its Quality Engineering & Testing practice. Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Design and implement reusable test frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing to ensure maximum test coverage.

• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing.

• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and cross-browser testing to validate product quality.

• Collaborate with developers, QA peers, and product managers to define clear test strategies and acceptance criteria.

• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution.

• Analyze execution results, prepare detailed QA reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

• Continuously improve test coverage, execution speed, and framework reliability.

• Maintain detailed test documentation and contribute to QA best practices and process improvements.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Playwright or similar frameworks (Cypress, Selenium).

• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for writing and debugging automation scripts.

• Strong experience in REST API testing with tools like Postman or REST Assured.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and version control systems like Git.

• Deep understanding of web technologies, DOM structure, and browser behavior.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint ceremonies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Expected Salary

For a Playwright Automation Tester with 2+ years of experience in Pune, salaries typically range from ₹7–12 LPA, depending on expertise in Playwright, CI/CD integration, and end-to-end test automation. Candidates with additional experience in framework design and cross-browser automation may earn at the higher end of this range.
