Job Description

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Performance Testing Engineer to join its dynamic Quality Engineering & Testing team in Pune. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about ensuring software applications deliver optimal performance under diverse load conditions. You will focus on end-to-end performance testing, including load, stress, and scalability testing, to ensure enterprise-grade reliability of applications.

In this position, you will use tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, and Gatling to design, execute, and analyze performance tests. You will collaborate closely with development teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to gather Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend improvements. Your contributions will directly enhance application responsiveness, scalability, and overall user experience.

This role also involves working with monitoring tools like AppDynamics and Dynatrace to track system behavior under load, identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Performance Test Planning: Gather NFRs, define performance objectives, and create detailed test plans.

  • Test Design & Execution: Develop and execute load, stress, and scalability tests using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, and Gatling.

  • Monitoring & Analysis: Use monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and Dynatrace to analyze system performance and detect bottlenecks.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure performance requirements are met.

  • Reporting: Document and report performance metrics, test results, and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest optimization strategies, tune application performance, and propose enhancements.

  • End-to-End Testing: Ensure complete coverage of performance aspects for all critical applications and systems.

  • Automation Integration: Support the integration of performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Experience: 3–7 years in performance testing, preferably in enterprise-scale applications.

  • Technical skills: Strong hands-on experience with JMeter and LoadRunner; exposure to NeoLoad or Gatling is a plus.

  • Monitoring expertise: Familiarity with AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or other application performance monitoring tools.

  • Testing methodologies: Solid understanding of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), performance testing metrics, and analysis techniques.

  • Programming knowledge: Basic scripting skills to create custom test scenarios.

  • Analytical mindset: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve performance issues effectively.

  • Collaboration skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for cross-functional team interactions.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
