Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements. This includes defining test scope, approach, and success criteria.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using modern frameworks and tools, ensuring early defect detection and faster release cycles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, participate in design discussions, and define clear acceptance criteria for testing.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects with detailed documentation for faster resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely fixes and quality improvements.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab or Jenkins to enable continuous testing and delivery.
  • Contribute to code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and promoting best practices in test automation.
  • Monitor testing processes and identify opportunities for optimization, improving efficiency and reducing testing cycle time.
  • Stay updated with emerging tools, technologies, and trends in automation testing and actively implement them where relevant.
  • Maintain proper documentation of test cases, test scripts, and testing outcomes to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards.

Requirements & Eligibility:

  • Strong experience in software testing, including both manual and automation testing, with a clear understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar, with recent hands-on coding experience in automation development.
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, or similar tools for UI and API testing.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform, with an understanding of cloud-based testing environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and version control systems like Git.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including BDD, TDD, functional, integration, and performance testing techniques.
  • Experience in API testing, XML validation, and working with RESTful services for backend validation.
  • Ability to design test plans, write detailed test cases, and estimate testing efforts accurately.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) or testing tools are an added advantage but not mandatory.
