Barclays is seeking a skilled QA Tester to join its Technology team in Pune, where innovation meets large-scale financial systems. Working within the Control business area, you will drive excellence in manual and automated testing for ServiceNow IRM projects and the new ORAC solution. As a QA Tester, you will lead and participate in the full Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), starting with requirement analysis and test planning, followed by test case development, execution, defect triage, and stakeholder reporting. You will support parallel workstreams involving vendor-delivered user stories, API integrations, data feeds, and Governance, Risk, and Control (GRC) reporting enhancements. Your work will ensure operational continuity while strengthening controls and compliance frameworks.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and execute end-to-end Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) activities, including requirement analysis, test planning, test case development, execution, and reporting.

• Perform manual and automated testing across multiple workstreams, including ServiceNow IRM projects and ORAC solution deployments.

• Manage and triage existing and newly identified defects, ensuring root cause analysis and timely resolution in collaboration with development teams.

• Validate APIs, data feeds, and reporting systems to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with risk and control frameworks.

• Coordinate parallel testing streams involving vendor-delivered user stories and internal development tracks to maintain business continuity.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define test strategies, scope, and resource allocation aligned with project timelines.

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and system testing scenarios.

• Support Governance, Risk, and Control (GRC) initiatives by validating compliance requirements within system enhancements.

• Communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to project managers and senior stakeholders.

• Stay updated with emerging testing tools, enterprise security principles, and fintech innovations relevant to the banking sector.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Prior experience working on ServiceNow and Integrated Risk Management (IRM) projects within enterprise environments.

• Strong expertise in manual and automation testing, with the ability to manage multiple testing streams simultaneously.

• Hands-on experience in managing defect lifecycles, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

• Solid understanding of Governance, Risk, and Control (GRC) frameworks and reporting systems.

• Knowledge of Enterprise Security Principles, including Identity Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Cloud Security concepts.

• Ability to work under stringent timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities effectively.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present findings clearly.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and documentation practices for reporting and collaboration.

• Demonstrated capability to adapt quickly to new business domains and evolving regulatory requirements.

Expected Salary

For a QA Tester role at Barclays in Pune, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹9 LPA and ₹16 LPA, depending on experience in ServiceNow IRM projects, automation expertise, and exposure to GRC frameworks.
