Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive ETL test plans and strategies to validate data pipelines and transformations.

• Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and defect identification across complex datasets and systems.

• Leverage tools such as Ab Initio, SQL, and Unix to carry out detailed ETL testing processes.

• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools like JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber, and others.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, define acceptance criteria, and contribute to design discussions.

• Conduct root cause analysis for defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.

• Stay updated with the latest trends in ETL tools, automation frameworks, and data quality practices.

• Participate in code reviews, peer collaboration, and team discussions to foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

• Contribute to organizational culture by engaging in initiatives such as training, process improvements, and technical communities.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and Barclays’ internal governance frameworks.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Proven experience in ETL testing with strong knowledge of data validation, data controls, and reconciliation methods.

• Hands-on expertise in Ab Initio, SQL, Unix, and other major ETL tools.

• Strong programming and scripting experience, preferably with exposure to Java and automation frameworks.

• Knowledge of automation testing tools including Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JMeter, and Cucumber.

• Background in Agile methodologies, TDD, BDD, and CI/CD environments, with a focus on automation-first practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex data challenges.

• Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills for working in global, cross-functional teams.

• Ability to balance technical expertise with business understanding to deliver meaningful test outcomes.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• Certifications in ETL testing, quality engineering, or automation frameworks will be an added advantage.
