Job Description:

As an Automation Tester at Barclays Pune, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality software solutions that drive the bank's digital transformation. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Test Strategy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive test strategies encompassing functional, regression, and automation testing to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.

2. Test Script Creation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks, facilitating early detection of defects and quality issues.

3. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess application scalability and responsiveness under varying loads, ensuring optimal user experience.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment with testing objectives.

5. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, ensuring timely and effective fixes.

6. Test Execution & Reporting: Execute test cases, analyze results, and generate detailed reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

7. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in QA and testing, recommending and implementing improvements to testing processes and methodologies.

8. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results for traceability and compliance purposes.

9. Test Environment Management: Set up and maintain test environments, ensuring they accurately reflect production conditions.

10. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in QA and test automation, preferably in a financial services or banking environment.

3. Technical Skills:

   • Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium and QTP.

   • Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or VBScript.

   • Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner and JMeter.

   • Familiarity with mainframe testing methodologies.

4. CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.

5. Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.

6. Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

7. SQL Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL for database testing and query optimization.

8. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

9. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

10. Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent certifications in software testing are desirable.

Expected Salary:
