Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop comprehensive test strategies and automation frameworks to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability across financial systems.
- Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using modern tools, ensuring early detection of defects and minimizing production risks.
- Perform manual testing when required, ensuring flexibility in testing approaches and complete validation of application behavior.
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define clear acceptance criteria for testing.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects, providing detailed insights and collaborating with development teams for faster resolution.
- Generate test plans, test execution reports, and maintain proper documentation to ensure transparency and traceability in testing processes.
- Utilize FIX Protocol knowledge (4.2/4.4) to validate trading systems and ensure accurate communication in financial transactions.
- Debug logs and execute commands in Unix environments to identify issues and validate system performance effectively.
- Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in automation testing and quality assurance across teams.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and innovations, contributing to continuous improvement in testing methodologies.
Requirements & Eligibility:
- Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools, with the ability to design and implement scalable testing solutions.
- Strong understanding of manual testing processes, ensuring flexibility to handle hybrid testing environments effectively.
- Proficiency in FIX Protocol (4.2/4.4), with the ability to test and validate financial messaging systems.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments, including debugging logs and executing commands for troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, along with exposure to automation frameworks for test development.
- Strong QA skills, including test planning, execution, reporting, and evidence collection for quality validation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
