Barclays – Automation Test Engineer

Barclays is seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join their technology team in Pune. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and performance of applications through the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with development and QA teams to identify test scenarios, maintain existing automation frameworks, and integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Automation Development:

  • Design and implement robust automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.

  • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with development and QA teams to identify test scenarios and automate them.

  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• Testing & Reporting:

  • Conduct regular regression testing.

  • Report bugs and issues effectively.

  • Prepare detailed test reports and documentation.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • Around 3–6 years of experience in test automation.

  • Proven experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java, Python, or C#.

  • Strong understanding of testing frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.

  • Familiarity with tools like Maven, Jenkins, Git, and REST API testing.

• Preferred:

  • Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber.

  • ISTQB certification.

  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

💰 Estimated Salary Range

• Monthly Salary: ₹58,000 – ₹83,000

• Annual CTC: ₹7 LPA – ₹10 LPA
