Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute end-to-end testing activities, including manual and automated testing, aligned with defined test plans and delivery timelines.

• Prioritize testing tasks to ensure maximum coverage of functional, integration, and system-level scenarios across concurrent testing cycles.

• Analyze system behavior, logs, and outputs to identify defects and recommend solutions for issue resolution and system optimization.

• Define detailed execution test plans, including scope, resources, and timelines, based on customer needs and project requirements.

• Design and implement robust test solutions that align with planned scope, quality benchmarks, and business objectives.

• Act as a technical interface between testing teams, development teams, and stakeholders to communicate findings, risks, and recommendations.

• Maintain and enhance professional relationships with customers and internal partners to ensure alignment and engagement continuity.

• Mentor new team members, promote reuse of testing assets, and drive adoption of testing tools and best practices.

• Ensure all test artifacts, documentation, and deliverables meet high standards of traceability, accuracy, and compliance.

• Support test efficiency and optimization initiatives to improve overall quality, speed, and reliability of releases.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 2 to 8 years of experience in software testing, with strong hands-on exposure to mainframe batch environments.

• Mandatory expertise in JCL, COBOL, VSAM, and CICS, with practical experience in batch cycle execution and validation.

• Hands-on experience with DB2, IMS, or IDMS databases, including data validation and defect analysis.

• Strong experience with batch schedulers such as ESP or CA7 and resolving abends and execution errors.

• Practical exposure to Connect:Direct (C:D) and MQ Series for file transfers and messaging validation.

• Experience in mainframe test data preparation, including feeding data into batch cycles.

• Experience across the System Testing Life Cycle (STLC), with the ability to independently design and execute test cases.

• Familiarity with automation tools like QTP or REX on mainframe platforms is preferred.

• Exposure to at least one cloud platform such as AWS or Azure is desirable for hybrid testing environments.

• Strong stakeholder collaboration skills, clear communication, and the ability to work independently on testing deliverables.
