Amdocs – Software Test Specialist

Job Description:

As a Software Test Specialist at Amdocs, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases that validate the functionality, performance, and security of our applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.

In this role, you will utilize a variety of testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing, to identify defects and ensure that software meets the highest standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing test scripts and frameworks, contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the testing process. Your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional software experiences to our clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality.

• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Maintain and enhance existing test scripts and frameworks.

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the testing process.

• Ensure that software meets performance, security, and reliability standards.

• Provide feedback and recommendations for software improvements.

• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies.

• Mentor and guide junior team members in testing best practices.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in software testing.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.

• Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus.
