Roles & Responsibilities

1. Participate in the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment of applications.

2. Collaborate with architects and technical leaders to analyze existing failures, validate processes, and propose improvement solutions.

3. Engage in requirement analysis and solution design, ensuring that client needs are translated into efficient technical outcomes.

4. Contribute to high-performing and scalable applications, ensuring reliability, responsiveness, and maintainability.

5. Actively participate in agile ceremonies, sprints, and peer reviews, applying agile methodology best practices.

6. Develop clean, efficient, and reusable code in languages like Java, Python, C++, or Node.js.

7. Assist in release management activities, ensuring smooth delivery of updates and enhancements.

8. Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve bugs to maintain system performance.

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide innovative coding solutions for business challenges.

10. Ensure continuous learning by staying updated with the latest tools, technologies, and industry trends.

11. Support IBM’s consulting engagements by delivering quality work that contributes to client satisfaction.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related streams (CSE, AIML, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, IoT, Robotics, Big Data, etc.) with a minimum of 60% or 6 CGPA.

2. Year of Passing: Candidates must belong to the 2026 graduating batch and be in their final year of study at the time of application.

3. Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Node.js with a strong grasp of software development life cycle concepts.

4. Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to validate issues, propose improvements, and design innovative solutions.

5. Agility: Familiarity with agile methodologies, iterative development, and collaborative delivery practices.

6. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

7. Flexibility: Willingness to work from anywhere across India with a hybrid working model.

8. Eligibility Criteria: No active backlogs at the time of application; candidates must complete their degree before starting employment.

9. Preferred Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork orientation, and adaptability to dynamic environments.

10. Added Advantage: Exposure to modern tools, cloud platforms, or open-source contributions will be considered a plus.

Expected Salary

At IBM, an entry-level Associate System Engineer can expect a salary in the range of ₹4.2 LPA to ₹6.5 LPA in India, depending on skills, educational background, and location of deployment. Exceptional candidates with advanced skills or certifications may attract compensation at the higher end of the bracket.
