Job Description:

Milliman, a global leader in actuarial and consulting services, is seeking a Junior Tester to join its growing Quality Assurance team in Navi Mumbai. As a Junior Tester at Milliman, you will support the QA process by executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring the accuracy and stability of software releases.

You will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and senior testers to enhance the testing lifecycle, ensuring each product meets Milliman’s high standards of quality and precision. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Execute manual and automated test cases in alignment with test plans and project requirements.

• Identify, document, and report defects using issue tracking tools such as JIRA or similar.

• Review functional and technical specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Conduct functional, regression, and usability testing to validate product performance and reliability.

• Collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and senior QA team members to resolve issues.

• Assist in preparing test environments and test data for smooth execution of test cycles.

• Participate in Agile meetings, contributing feedback to improve testing and development processes.

• Continuously learn and apply new testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.

• Support documentation efforts by maintaining clear and detailed test reports.

• Ensure all software releases align with Milliman’s quality assurance standards and compliance protocols.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Foundational knowledge of software development and testing principles (STLC, SDLC).

• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.

• Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in software behavior.

• Effective written and verbal communication for collaboration across cross-functional teams.

• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Exposure to any programming language or automation tool (e.g., Selenium, Python, Java) is a plus.

• Prior internship or academic project experience in software testing will be an added advantage.

Expected Salary:

The average salary for a Junior Tester at Milliman (Navi Mumbai) typically ranges between ₹3.5 LPA to ₹5.5 LPA, depending on academic background, testing tool familiarity, and prior internship experience. Exceptional candidates with automation exposure may command higher compensation.
