Medpace, a leading global clinical contract research organization, is looking for an Entry-Level Software QA Test Engineer to join its Navi Mumbai office. As a Junior QA Test Engineer (Validation Engineer), you will play a key role in verifying the quality and functionality of Medpace’s proprietary software solutions used by clinical research professionals worldwide. You will work alongside experienced validation and quality teams to ensure that applications meet regulatory requirements, user expectations, and industry standards.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with software validation processes, creating and executing test cases, documenting results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve defects. You will be part of a robust training program designed to help new graduates ramp up quickly, learn industry best practices, and grow into a proficient QA professional.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution:
  • Develop detailed test plans and validation protocols for web-based and desktop applications.
  • Create, execute, and maintain test cases for functional, regression, and system integration testing.

• Requirement Analysis:
  • Review user requirements, functional specifications, and design documentation to derive test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and developers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Defect Management:
  • Identify, log, and track software defects in a structured defect-tracking system.
  • Work with development teams to reproduce issues, provide detailed bug reports, and verify fixes.

• Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain validation-related documentation, including test scripts, test summaries, and deviation reports.
  • Ensure all validation activities comply with regulatory guidelines (e.g., GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11).

• Continuous Improvement & Collaboration:
  • Participate in peer reviews of test cases and validation deliverables.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing feedback on test coverage and efficiency.
  • Engage in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and training workshops.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:
  • Entry-level candidates (0–2 years) with internships or academic projects in software testing, validation, or QA.

• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
  • Familiarity with test case creation, test execution, and defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) for test automation exposure.
  • Exposure to database concepts and the ability to write simple SQL queries.
  • Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and basic knowledge of API testing.

• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, manage time, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

💰 Estimated Salary Range

• Annual CTC: ₹8 LPA – ₹9 LPA
  Note: This is an industry estimate for entry-level QA positions in Navi Mumbai. Actual compensation may vary based on internal policies and candidate qualifications.
