Maersk: Associate Software Engineer – SAP Finance

Maersk, a global leader in logistics and transportation, is undergoing a significant digital transformation and is inviting applications for the role of Associate Software Engineer – SAP Finance (Cash & Bank). As a SAP functional engineer in this role, you'll be instrumental in configuring and delivering high-quality solutions related to FI-Cash Management, In-House Banking, and Bank Communication Management. You’ll operate in a hybrid work environment with a cross-functional team of global stakeholders, supporting an agile culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP Finance Cash & Bank solutions

• Build and maintain finance functionalities including payments, bank communications, and in-house cash

• Collaborate with cross-functional product teams using Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and SAP global template standards

• Execute integration testing with banking partners and validate payment files

• Manage cutovers, data conversions, and go-live activities for new SAP rollouts

• Write functional specifications for WRICEFs and support regression testing

• Provide ongoing support and enhancements to ensure optimal product performance

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product performance assessments

Requirement & Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP FICO, especially in Banking, Cash Management, and In-House Bank modules

• Hands-on expertise in FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR and integration with MM, SD, CO

• In-depth knowledge of payment processes, SWIFT protocols, and DMEE payment configurations

• Proficient in Electronic Bank Statement configuration, Bank Communication Management, and cheque processing

• Experience in large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations is essential

• Ability to manage unit, integration, and regression testing cycles

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, capable of working in global time zones

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields; SAP FI/CO certification preferred

• Familiarity with the shipping and logistics domain is an added advantage

• Exposure to AI and robotic process automation tools will be a bonus

• Willingness to work in a hybrid model and support global rollouts
