Verisk is seeking a dynamic and analytical Business Analyst I to join its software engineering and product development team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation for mission-critical insurance solutions. Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of product goals and requirements.

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA teams to analyze product features and drive requirement clarity and functional coverage.

• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, including stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process walk-throughs to document detailed business needs.

• Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for validating functional and non-functional requirements.

• Execute manual and automated test cases to verify product functionality, usability, and business rule adherence.

• Analyze business process workflows and create process maps to improve understanding and identify opportunities for optimization.

• Track and report testing progress through detailed documentation of test results, defect logs, and issue lifecycle updates.

• Perform data analysis to generate insights, identify patterns, and support decision-making for product or feature enhancements.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide assistance to internal and external users during new system implementations or product updates.

• Contribute to continuous improvement by assessing testing methodologies, identifying gaps, and implementing best practices.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related fields; MBA or relevant Master’s degree is a plus.

• 0–2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Life Insurance or InsurTech implementations.

• Familiarity with requirement management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.

• Understanding of test planning, test execution, regression testing, and UAT processes.

• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.

• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to interpret business logic.

• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage documentation efficiently and maintain clarity across project stakeholders.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for a Business Analyst I at Verisk in Hyderabad typically ranges between ₹4.5 – ₹7.5 LPA, depending on educational qualifications, analytical abilities, technical skills, and internship or project experience. Candidates with exposure to insurance domain processes, testing, or product implementation may be offered a higher package.
