About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering to join the S&P Global Market Intelligence Cappitech team. In this role, you will lead automation testing efforts, build innovative quality engineering solutions, and ensure delivery of world-class regulatory reporting and business intelligence products used across global financial services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead automation testing activities across projects to ensure high-quality software delivery.

  • Plan, design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java or C#.

  • Write, execute, and analyze automated test scripts; ensure accuracy of test conditions and results.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend long-term solutions.

  • Collaborate with globally distributed teams (product, development, operations) in an Agile environment.

  • Track bugs, features, and fixes using JIRA or equivalent tools.

  • Ensure quality compliance with release processes, SLAs, and security standards.

  • Provide clear, data-driven reporting on test progress, results, and risks to leadership.

  • Drive continuous improvements in test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps toolchains.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of QA experience, including 2+ years in test automation.

  • Strong expertise in automation test planning, execution, and reporting.

  • Proven experience with Selenium, JUnit, TestNG or similar frameworks.

  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Java, C#, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of Agile software development and testing lifecycle.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), branching strategies, DevOps practices.

  • Experience testing server-side and client-side applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams.
