In this role, you will design and develop software solutions for Qualcomm’s advanced mobile chipsets. Opportunities span across multimedia technologies such as audio and video codecs, image processing, wireless modem technologies including 4G, WiFi, and Bluetooth, as well as IoT innovations for smart assistants, drones, and connected cameras. You may also work on platform-level software development involving Linux, Android, Windows, Board Support Packages (BSP), and embedded device drivers. The position demands strong programming skills in C/C++ along with a solid understanding of operating systems, data structures, networking protocols, and object-oriented design principles.

As a campus graduate software engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop firmware, kernel modules, communication protocol stacks, and application-level software. You will gain exposure to Linux kernel development, embedded systems architecture, and real-time software engineering practices. Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop real-time embedded software and device drivers for Qualcomm mobile chipsets and platforms.

  2. Contribute to multimedia software stack development including audio, video, and image processing technologies.

  3. Develop and optimize wireless modem software supporting standards such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

  4. Work on Linux, Android, or Windows-based embedded platforms, including kernel modules and Board Support Packages (BSP).

  5. Implement communication protocol stacks using TCP, UDP, IP, SIP, RTP, and related networking standards.

  6. Participate in object-oriented software design and development using C/C++ for high-performance systems.

  7. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and system architecture teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.

  8. Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize performance issues within embedded and mobile software environments.

  9. Contribute to IoT and connected device solutions including smart assistants, drones, AR/VR platforms, and connected cameras.

  10. Maintain high coding standards, documentation practices, and quality benchmarks aligned with engineering best practices.


Requirements & Eligibility:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Communication Engineering, or related technical fields.

  2. Strong programming skills in C/C++ with solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.

  3. Good knowledge of operating system concepts, data structures, and algorithms.

  4. Familiarity with Linux/UNIX environments, Linux drivers, and kernel development fundamentals.

  5. Understanding of wireless networking standards such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, WiFi, or Bluetooth.

  6. Exposure to communication protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, SIP, and RTP.

  7. Knowledge of multimedia technologies such as audio, video codecs, and imaging systems is an added advantage.

  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex technical issues.

  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

  10. Ability to work effectively in team environments and adapt to evolving technology landscapes.
