Key Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer / Research Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing, supporting, and modernizing software systems that power Medpace’s clinical and research operations. You will collaborate closely with global teams to design scalable applications that enhance data collection, analysis, and regulatory processes across multiple therapeutic areas.

Your core duties will include:

• Gathering, analyzing, and documenting user and system requirements.

• Designing, developing, modifying, and maintaining software applications across web and cloud environments.

• Participating in software validation processes, including creating and executing test plans, test cases, and scripts.

• Developing applications following a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) — from requirements to release and maintenance.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve development tools, architecture, and workflows.

• Applying strong technical knowledge in areas like C#, ASP.NET, SQL, and Angular to build robust and efficient software.

• Leveraging object-oriented programming principles to design maintainable, modular, and scalable codebases.

• Potentially leading development projects, mentoring junior developers, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Strong understanding of software design, data structures, and object-oriented programming (OOP).

• Hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, SQL, and web development frameworks.

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as Angular and RESTful Web Services.

• Experience using Git for version control and relational databases for backend development.

• Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and release management processes.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with Entity Framework and Azure DevOps.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) and system modernization.

• Exposure to mobile application development (iOS / Android).

• Understanding of clinical research or healthcare domain systems is an advantage.

Expected Salary:

For this role in Hyderabad, the expected annual compensation typically ranges between ₹10 LPA – ₹18 LPA, depending on experience, skills, and technical expertise in C#, .NET, and Azure technologies.
