Responsibilities
Break down problems and estimate time for testing tasks
Apply a variety of testing methodologies during the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domains and functional areas
Take ownership of tasks and deliver quality work independently
Apply SDLC principles and methodologies such as Lean, Agile, XP, CI/CD, and refactoring techniques
Write and maintain effective test cases and automation scripts
Collaborate with developers to fix bugs and build test plans
Configure and implement testing tools; support junior testers when needed
Conduct system-level integration testing
Define quality metrics, best practices, and maintain coding standards
