Job Description

Algoleap Technologies is looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join its engineering team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of enterprise software systems by implementing advanced testing strategies and automation frameworks. The position focuses on building robust test automation solutions while performing data validation and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) activities. As a QA Engineer, you will collaborate with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

The role requires strong expertise in automation testing and backend validation, particularly using Python-based testing frameworks such as pytest. You will design and execute automated test cases, validate data pipelines, and perform API testing to ensure the accuracy and performance of applications. Through structured testing approaches, you will help detect defects early in the development lifecycle and improve software reliability across multiple releases.

Additionally, the QA Engineer will contribute to performance testing, UI automation testing, and quality assurance improvements across the organization’s technology stack. You will work with modern testing tools and continuous integration workflows to increase test coverage and streamline test execution processes. By analyzing test results, troubleshooting failures, and maintaining test frameworks, you will help ensure stable deployments and efficient software delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python-based tools such as pytest.

• Execute automated and manual tests to validate application functionality, performance, and reliability.

• Perform data validation testing by writing SQL queries and verifying backend data integrity.

• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman to validate service responses and data accuracy.

• Implement UI automation testing using frameworks such as Selenium to verify front-end functionality.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and collaborate with business teams to validate system behavior.

• Perform performance testing to ensure applications can handle high workloads and maintain optimal performance.

• Track defects and testing activities using issue management tools such as Jira.

• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.

• Contribute to improving testing strategies, automation coverage, and overall software quality processes.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8–12 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python automation frameworks such as pytest.

• Expertise in data validation testing and writing SQL queries for backend verification.

• Experience performing API testing using Postman or similar tools.

• Hands-on experience in UI automation testing using Selenium or similar frameworks.

• Experience working with issue tracking tools such as Jira for defect management.

• Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools for validating system scalability.

• Strong analytical and debugging skills for identifying root causes of defects.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development teams and stakeholders.

Expected Salary

The typical salary for a Senior QA Engineer with 8–12 years of experience in technology companies in India generally ranges between ₹18 LPA to ₹35 LPA, depending on expertise in automation frameworks, backend validation, and performance testing. Professionals with strong Python automation experience and leadership capabilities may receive higher compensation packages along with bonuses and growth opportunities.
