Job Description

GreyOrange is hiring an Engineer – Quality Assurance to join its Solution Tech team at its headquarters in Gurugram. As a global leader in robotics and automation solutions, GreyOrange builds intelligent systems that optimize warehouse operations and supply chain management. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of software systems that power advanced automation platforms. The QA Engineer will play a crucial role in validating applications, identifying defects, and ensuring that products meet both technical standards and user expectations.

The position involves designing and developing automated test frameworks, executing test scripts, and supporting development teams in maintaining high-quality software delivery. The QA Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and system engineers to identify automation opportunities and improve testing efficiency. By working in Agile environments, the engineer will participate in sprint planning, development cycles, and continuous testing processes to ensure seamless product releases.

In addition to testing responsibilities, the role emphasizes innovation and continuous improvement. The QA Engineer will contribute to research and development initiatives, enhance testing methodologies, and explore new tools and technologies for automation. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery.

2. Implement test automation strategies that maximize test coverage and improve testing efficiency across applications.

3. Execute automated and manual test cases to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.

4. Collaborate with development teams to identify defects and provide debugging support for resolving technical issues.

5. Participate actively in Agile development cycles including sprint planning, execution, and retrospective meetings.

6. Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and provide recommendations for improving software quality.

7. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing testing frameworks and methodologies.

8. Support cross-functional teams in understanding product requirements and validating system behavior.

9. Maintain documentation for test cases, automation scripts, and testing processes for future reference.

10. Participate in research and development activities to explore new testing tools and technologies.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

2. 2 to 4 years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.

3. Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java or Python.

4. Hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, Cucumber, or Pytest.

5. Strong understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and debug complex issues.

7. Experience working in Agile environments with exposure to sprint-based development processes.

8. Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure high standards of software quality.

9. Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

10. Creative mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies and contribute innovative ideas to product quality.

Expected Salary

The average salary for a QA Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in India typically ranges between ₹8 LPA to ₹16 LPA, depending on expertise in automation frameworks, programming skills, and domain experience.
