Nokia is hiring a Technical Specialist – Test to join its Network Infrastructure team in India (Hybrid work model). As a global leader in connectivity solutions for the AI era, Nokia powers fixed, mobile, IP, optical, and data center networks that form the digital backbone of modern life. This role is designed for experienced automation testing professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality telecom and networking solutions. You will work in a collaborative, multinational environment where innovation, quality engineering, and continuous improvement drive mission-critical product releases across global markets.

In this position, you will design and execute manual, automated, and non-functional tests to ensure product reliability and performance. You will contribute to automation frameworks using Robot Framework, Python, Java, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins while working in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. The role requires strong debugging skills, end-to-end test ownership, and exposure to system administration tasks, especially in Linux environments. With a growing focus on telecom transformation and AI-driven connectivity, you will play a critical role in enhancing automation coverage, optimizing release pipelines, and ensuring high standards of product quality in complex networking ecosystems.


Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Design and execute comprehensive test strategies covering manual, automation, functional, regression, and non-functional testing.

  2. Develop and enhance automation scripts using Robot Framework, Python, and Java to increase test coverage and reliability.

  3. Manage end-to-end testing activities, ensuring timely and high-quality product deliveries in alignment with release schedules.

  4. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to support continuous integration and deployment processes.

  5. Work with Docker and Kubernetes to validate applications in containerized and virtualized environments.

  6. Perform debugging and root cause analysis for defects identified during test execution.

  7. Collaborate with development and system teams to align testing strategies with telecom product requirements.

  8. Conduct performance and non-functional testing using tools like JMeter where applicable.

  9. Maintain test documentation, reports, and automation artifacts to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  10. Continuously explore emerging telecom technologies and automation tools to improve testing efficiency and product quality.


Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with 4–8 years of experience in software automation testing.

  2. Strong experience in test design, execution, and reporting for functional, regression, and non-functional testing.

  3. Proficiency in automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, along with hands-on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.

  4. Good programming and scripting skills in Python or Java, with strong debugging capabilities.

  5. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and release automation processes in enterprise environments.

  6. Knowledge of Playwright, Postman, or JMeter for UI and API testing is advantageous.

  7. Understanding of Linux system administration tasks and troubleshooting within distributed systems.

  8. Awareness of telecom domain trends, networking protocols, and customer expectations in connectivity solutions.

  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced global team environment.

  10. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and international teams.
