As an Associate Site Reliability Engineer, you will collaborate closely with product owners, software developers, data engineers, and other reliability experts. You will be responsible for maintaining cloud infrastructure, automating repetitive processes, and designing cost-effective, performance-driven systems. By leveraging modern technologies like Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools, you will ensure that Pfizerโ€™s digital ecosystem meets the highest standards of uptime, security, and performance.

You will work in an agile environment, proactively identifying reliability challenges, resolving bottlenecks, and strengthening the software release lifecycle. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable software and infrastructure within agile project timelines.

  • Support the overall Site Reliability Engineering strategy by driving performance, scalability, and security improvements.

  • Build, optimize, and manage cloud infrastructure with a focus on cost-efficiency and system reliability.

  • Develop automation scripts and tools to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.

  • Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines for faster, safer, and more reliable deployments.

  • Implement effective monitoring and alerting systems using modern observability tools to track application health and performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and enhance new and existing digital applications.

  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base for deployment, release, and operational best practices.

  • Continuously refine deployment processes to improve release speed while minimizing risks.

  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve system reliability and performance issues in real-time.

  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and recommend solutions for digital transformation at scale.


Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Technology Operations, Site Reliability, or Software Development.

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/EKS and major AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, MSK, etc.).

  • Proficiency in CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions or similar cloud-based tools.

  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and containerization using Docker.

  • Familiarity with GitOps-based Kubernetes CD tools such as FluxCD/ArgoCD.

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Dynatrace.

  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, along with knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.

  • Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Neo4j.

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud computing concepts.

  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Preferred certifications: Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar credentials.

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe frameworks is a strong plus.
