Job Description

EPAM is seeking an experienced Lead .NET Automation Test Engineer to join its global engineering team in Chennai. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital transformation projects for some of the world’s leading enterprises. As a lead engineer, you will be responsible for shaping test automation strategies, mentoring junior testers, and ensuring that software systems meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security.

In this role, you will combine hands-on automation expertise with leadership skills, contributing directly to the design, development, and execution of complex automation frameworks. You will work extensively with C#, TestNG, NUnit, SpecFlow, RestSharp, and Selenium to build robust automation solutions for API and UI testing. Beyond technical execution, you will drive collaboration across agile teams, ensuring testing is seamlessly integrated into development pipelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, review, and analyze requirements, ensuring clarity before test planning.

  • Design detailed test strategies, plans, and test cases, aligning them with project goals and business expectations.

  • Lead and coordinate automation testing activities, balancing priorities across sprints and releases.

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using C# for API (RestSharp) and UI (Selenium) testing.

  • Identify, log, and track defects with detailed documentation, ensuring quick resolution.

  • Define, implement, and enforce quality standards across the QA lifecycle.

  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo) for continuous validation.

  • Monitor, measure, and improve QA metrics to track effectiveness of testing practices.

  • Mentor junior engineers by sharing best practices, design patterns, and testing methodologies.

  • Stay updated with emerging tools, frameworks, and industry practices, ensuring EPAM remains ahead in QA innovation.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • 8–12 years of experience in automation testing with a strong .NET background.

  • At least 1+ year of leadership experience guiding teams and projects.

  • Proficiency in C# programming with expertise in TestNG, NUnit/MSUnit, and SpecFlow (BDD).

  • Strong experience in API automation (RestSharp) and UI automation (Selenium).

  • Familiarity with design patterns such as Singleton, Page Object, and Factory.

  • Experience with agile models and in-sprint automation practices.

  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo for test suite integration.

  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect management, and quality metrics.

  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • English proficiency at B2+ level or higher.

Expected Salary
