💡 About the Role

Citi is seeking a QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) with 3–5 years of experience to join our dynamic testing team in Chennai. This role is critical for ensuring the quality and consistency of our software products across various platforms, including Web, API, and Database.

✅ Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement standardized QA procedures across the SDLC

  • Perform System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, Ad-hoc Testing, Exploratory Testing, and UAT coordination

  • Build and execute manual and automated test cases

  • Set up and maintain automation frameworks (Web, API, Database)

  • Work collaboratively with developers, BA teams, and global stakeholders

  • Ensure test coverage, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance

  • Develop automated scripts and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven)

  • Document testing activities and communicate test results effectively

🧠 Required Skills

  • Manual Testing expertise across different phases of STLC

  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, SOAP UI, REST-Assured

  • API testing using Postman, JMeter, etc.

  • Good knowledge of SQL for database validation

  • Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner (preferred)

  • Programming in Java (or equivalent scripting language)

  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) experience is a plus

  • Experience using JIRA, ALM or similar tools

📚 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 3+ years of relevant QA experience

  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal

  • In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
