Citi is looking for an experienced Automation Test Analyst to join its dynamic technology quality team in Chennai. As part of the global Citi technology team, you will design test strategies, develop automation scripts, and execute test cases to validate new applications and system enhancements. Your work will span across User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and ETL validation, ensuring that solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements. By applying analytical and problem-solving skills, you will identify gaps, resolve issues, and maintain a robust testing process that safeguards Citi’s reputation and client trust.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and product rollouts into production environments.

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and QA professionals to design effective test scripts and automation strategies.

• Conduct software quality assurance testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.

• Create, execute, and maintain automation test scripts, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

• Identify and log defects, retest software fixes, and document results for future replication.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive test plans across applications.

• Perform ETL testing to validate data transformation and accuracy across systems.

• Interface with development teams for clarification on requirements and issue resolution.

• Generate detailed reports to track testing progress, defects, and overall system quality.

• Ensure compliance with Citi’s policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 4–6 years of experience in automation testing, preferably within the banking or financial services domain.

• Strong understanding of automation frameworks, test methodologies, and QA best practices.

• Hands-on experience in developing and executing automation scripts using modern testing tools.

• Knowledge of banking domain applications and processes is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in working with relational databases and writing SQL queries for data validation.

• Familiarity with ETL processes and testing of data integration workflows.

• Ability to analyze complex requirements, design efficient test cases, and work independently.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with global teams and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.

Expected Salary

An Automation Test Analyst in Chennai with 4–6 years of experience can expect a salary in the range of ₹9 LPA to ₹15 LPA, depending on expertise, certifications, and banking domain exposure. Professionals with advanced automation skills and strong financial domain knowledge are often compensated at the higher end of this scale.
