Job Description:
Rave Digital Pvt Ltd is hiring a QA Automation Engineer for its offshore development center in Indore, offering a fully remote work opportunity. This role is ideal for quality assurance professionals who are passionate about automation testing and have experience validating complex, multi-tier, distributed applications throughout the full software development lifecycle. As part of a cross-functional team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality digital commerce and enterprise applications by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks.

In this role, you will define QA practices, develop detailed test plans, and participate in all testing phases including functional, regression, load, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). You will build and maintain automated testing systems using tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, and Cucumber while also performing black-box testing where required. API testing using Postman and SQL-based data validation will form a key part of your responsibilities. Experience in telemetry testing and e-commerce platforms, especially Shopify, will be highly advantageous.

Beyond execution, this position requires ownership of the overall testing lifecycle, including change management tracking, defect management, and quality reporting. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure software reliability and performance. Familiarity with Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodologies and automated defect tracking tools further strengthens your candidacy. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Define and implement quality assurance strategies, procedures, and comprehensive test plans for distributed applications.

2. Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using Selenium, Katalon Studio, Cucumber, or similar tools.

3. Participate in functional, regression, load, system, and UAT testing cycles to ensure end-to-end application quality.

4. Perform API testing using Postman and validate backend data using SQL queries.

5. Execute black-box testing and ensure proper coverage of all application features.

6. Manage assigned testing projects from initial QA phases through final UAT validation.

7. Track changes and defects using automated defect management and change management tools.

8. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve critical defects and improve testing coverage.

9. Create automation scripts for repetitive testing processes and enhance regression testing efficiency.

10. Contribute to telemetry testing and validate performance metrics where applicable.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; QA certification is an added advantage.

2. Minimum 2+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in automation-focused roles.

3. Hands-on expertise in Selenium, Katalon Studio, Cucumber, or similar automation frameworks.

4. Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for testing web-based applications.

5. Experience performing API testing using tools like Postman.

6. Proficiency in SQL for data validation and dataset creation.

7. Experience using automated testing and defect tracking tools such as Rational Test Manager or similar platforms.

8. Familiarity with Rational Unified Process (RUP) and structured SDLC methodologies.

9. Prior experience in E-commerce applications, particularly Shopify, is highly preferred.

10. Experience in Telemetry Testing is mandatory for validating performance and system data tracking.

Expected Salary:

For a QA Automation Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in automation testing and e-commerce domains in India (remote role), the expected salary typically ranges between ₹6 LPA to ₹12 LPA depending on expertise in Selenium, API testing, and telemetry systems. Compensation may vary based on hands-on experience with Shopify platforms and automation framework design. Remote flexibility and project exposure further enhance the overall value of this opportunity.
