We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to design and optimize high-performance systems that process millions of transactions daily. You’ll work on core platforms like Juspay Safe (our secure payment gateway), ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain low-latency, high-throughput backend services in Java/Python. Design scalable APIs and microservices for payment processing. Optimize database queries (PostgreSQL, Redis) and reduce system bottlenecks. Collaborate with product teams to architect solutions for fraud detection, routing, and checkout experiences. Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventive measures. Skills & Qualifications: Must have: 3+ years of backend development experience. Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) or Python (Django/Flask). Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB). Familiarity with distributed systems, caching (Redis), and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ). Knowledge of AWS/GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
