Zerodha: DevOps Engineer 1

Zerodha Fund House is inviting applications for the position of DevOps Engineer 1, a full-time, Bangalore-based role for passionate undergraduates, ideally from the 2024 graduating batch. As part of a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and finance professionals, you’ll work on redefining how new-age investors engage with the stock market and mutual fund investments.

You will get hands-on experience working with cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, automation tools, and monitoring systems to ensure smooth and secure operation of next-generation fintech applications. Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating, implementing, and integrating modern DevOps tools and technologies

• Monitor cloud infrastructure and deployed applications for performance and reliability

• Troubleshoot issues across CI/CD pipelines, server environments, and deployment tools

• Maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and DevOps best practices

• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing sessions and external DevOps community via blogs, open-source participation, or presentations

• Stay current with evolving trends in cloud-native DevOps methodologies

Requirement & Eligibility

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferably graduating in 2024)

• Strong foundational knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals

• Familiarity with modern DevOps concepts including CI/CD, GitOps, and cloud infrastructure

• Understanding of web-based server architecture and deployment pipelines

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup-like environment with a learning-first mindset

Good to Have (Bonus Skills)

• Interest or background in the financial/stock market domain

• Hands-on exposure to DevOps tools like ArgoCD, ArgoWorkflow, AWS CDK, CDK8s, Terraform, Helm, or CloudFormation

• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ELB, ALB, S3, VPC, CloudFront, Route53

• Scripting capabilities in Bash or Python

• Familiarity with databases such as Postgres, MongoDB, Redis

Expected Salary for this Role
💰 ₹5 LPA – ₹8 LPA (based on peer startup DevOps roles and compensation benchmarks from platforms like AmbitionBox and Glassdoor)
