Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems that support global payment processing platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create design artifacts and implement high-quality software solutions.
• Build and enhance microservices-based applications and APIs for payment systems and business solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Identify and resolve bugs, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.
• Contribute to improving product quality, service capabilities, and user experience across applications.
• Work with distributed systems and high-availability architectures to handle large-scale transaction volumes.
• Follow coding standards, development processes, and best practices for maintainable and efficient code.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and collaboration activities.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies to enhance system capabilities and development efficiency.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in software development or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Python, Go, Scala, or C++.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and system design fundamentals.
• Experience working with microservices architectures and distributed systems concepts.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, and service-to-service communication.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Maven.
• Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Basic understanding of event-driven systems and streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, React, or Angular is an added advantage.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and modern software engineering practices is beneficial.

Expected Salary:

The expected salary for a Software Engineer at Visa in India typically ranges between ₹14 LPA to ₹30 LPA, depending on experience, technical expertise, and performance in the hiring process. Candidates with strong backend development skills, distributed systems knowledge, and fintech experience may receive higher compensation.
