Job Description
The Test Engineer role at Texas Instruments is an exciting opportunity for early-career engineers to begin their professional journey within a global semiconductor leader. As part of TIβs Career Accelerator Program (CAP), this role is designed to provide structured technical training, hands-on learning, and mentorship that accelerates your transition from academia to industry. From the very first day, you will be immersed in real engineering challenges, gaining exposure to how innovative analog and embedded processing products are designed, tested, validated, and manufactured at scale.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across product engineering, manufacturing, quality, and validation to ensure TIβs integrated circuits meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. You will contribute to test software and hardware development, product debugging, test optimization, and yield improvement initiatives. Your work directly impacts product competitiveness, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction, making test engineering a critical function within TIβs product development lifecycle.
As you grow in the role, you will gain exposure to product engineering, test engineering, and validation engineering concepts through formal training and on-the-job experiences. You will collaborate with global teams, manufacturing sites, and customers, developing both technical depth and professional skills. Roles & Responsibilities

Participate in the Career Accelerator Program to gain structured training and hands-on experience across test, product, and validation engineering domains.

Develop and optimize test software and hardware to ensure robust, efficient, and scalable testing of semiconductor products.

Analyze test and manufacturing data to identify trends, improve yield, and enhance overall product quality and performance.

Support product debugging, failure analysis, and device verification to ensure issues are identified and resolved efficiently.

Work with automated test equipment, including tester hardware and software, to verify capability and release products to manufacturing.

Contribute to product qualification, reliability testing, and validation activities using bench setups and characterization techniques.

Support strategies focused on cost reduction, capacity expansion, and profitability improvement for assigned product lines.

Act as a key point of contact for operational aspects of assigned products, including quality and application-related issues.

Collaborate with wafer fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing sites to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.

Work with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time while maintaining high engineering and quality standards.
Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher, demonstrating strong academic performance.

Basic understanding of electronic schematics, layouts, and digital components used in semiconductor systems.

Foundational knowledge of analog circuitry such as operational amplifiers, power management, data converters, and sensing circuits.

Programming skills in C or C++, with exposure to LabVIEW considered an advantage.

Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and manufacturing processes in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills applied to both hardware and software challenges.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders.

Proven ability to work well in teams, manage time efficiently, and take ownership of deliverables.
Expected Salary
