Sutherland is seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join its growing technology team in Bengaluru under a permanent Work-At-Home model. This role is designed for professionals who specialize in automation testing and have hands-on experience building scalable test frameworks for complex web-based applications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites that validate both frontend and backend systems. A key focus area will be testing GraphQL APIs to ensure functionality, performance optimization, and seamless data communication across services. You will collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to resolve CI pipeline issues and enhance continuous integration workflows. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for web-based enterprise applications.
   Ensure scalability and maintainability of automation scripts across integrated systems.

2. Build and execute automated test suites using C#, Selenium, and Playwright.
   Optimize test coverage to improve regression efficiency and reduce manual testing effort.

3. Validate GraphQL APIs by creating automation scripts that test functionality, performance, and data integrity.
   Identify edge cases and ensure reliable API behavior under varying load conditions.

4. Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot pipeline failures.
   Work closely with DevOps teams to enhance continuous integration processes.

5. Perform cross-system testing involving databases, web applications, and Windows-native applications.
   Ensure seamless interoperability between subsystems.

6. Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers for resolution.
   Provide clear documentation and reproducible defect reports.

7. Continuously improve automation frameworks by implementing best practices and reusable components.
   Ensure alignment with evolving project requirements.

8. Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and quality discussions within Agile environments.
   Contribute to quality strategy and test planning activities.

9. Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability.
   Support performance testing initiatives when required.

10. Stay updated with emerging automation tools and testing methodologies.
    Proactively suggest innovative solutions to improve quality engineering practices.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
   A strong academic foundation in software development and testing principles is essential.

2. Minimum 4+ years of experience in automation testing using C#, Selenium, and Playwright.
   Demonstrated ability to design and maintain enterprise-level automation frameworks.

3. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies including functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
   Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is highly preferred.

4. Hands-on experience in testing GraphQL APIs and validating backend services.
   Strong knowledge of API automation strategies and tools.

5. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and resolving automation-related integration issues.
   Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control systems is beneficial.

6. Strong debugging and analytical skills to identify root causes of defects.
   Ability to document findings clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

7. Knowledge of database validation techniques and data integrity testing.
   Understanding of SQL queries and backend data verification.

8. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
   Ability to work independently in a remote Work-At-Home setup.

9. Familiarity with performance testing concepts and best practices.
   Exposure to cloud-based testing environments is an added advantage.
