Job Description

Lexington Soft is looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Solutions Engineer (Test Automation) to join its Bangalore team. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology and customer engagement. As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with the sales and product teams to drive successful technology evaluations, deliver impactful product demonstrations, and ensure that customer needs are fully understood and addressed.

In this position, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping prospects and clients evaluate the right software testing solutions. You will leverage your knowledge of manual and automated testing, APIs, and development tools to showcase product capabilities, troubleshoot issues, and support customers throughout their evaluation journey. This role will also provide opportunities to represent Lexington Soft at industry events and collaborate with global DevOps solution providers.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the sales process, understanding customer requirements and aligning product capabilities with business needs.

• Deliver compelling and customized product demonstrations to prospective customers, showcasing the value of Lexington Soft’s solutions.

• Respond to and troubleshoot product-related queries from prospective and current customers, ensuring a smooth evaluation process.

• Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure seamless pre-sales and post-sales technical engagement.

• Actively participate in customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows to represent Lexington Soft and engage with potential clients.

• Collect and share customer feedback to contribute to product improvements and feature enhancements.

• Stay updated on industry trends, DevOps tools, and test automation technologies, continuously improving solution knowledge.

• Train internal teams on technical differentiators, helping them position products effectively during customer interactions.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases.

• Travel up to 30% of the time to support sales activities, demonstrations, and customer workshops.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Test Engineer.

• Strong experience with manual or automated testing, including API testing and automation tools like Selenium, Ranorex, EggPlant, or Tricentis.

• Prior experience with software development using C, C++/C#, or Java.

• Familiarity with build systems (Make, Jam), source code control systems (Perforce, ClearCase, CVS), and bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, ClearQuest).

• Knowledge of performance monitoring, test automation frameworks, and software quality assurance practices.

• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and presentation skills to engage technical and business stakeholders.

• Ability to build relationships and become a trusted technical advisor for clients.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% to meet customer and business requirements.

Expected Salary

The expected salary range for a Solutions Engineer (Test Automation) in Bangalore is typically between ₹8 LPA and ₹14 LPA, depending on experience, technical expertise, and familiarity with automation tools. Candidates with strong programming skills and experience with multiple QA tools may receive compensation at the higher end of the range, along with potential performance-based incentives.
