Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and functional requirements for completeness and translate them into valid, actionable test cases.

• Design and maintain master test plans that document the overall testing strategy for each project.

• Execute test scripts for software applications, recording detailed validation results and documenting defects.

• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues quickly, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines.

• Review test results and supporting execution documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Provide risk assessments during test cycles and deliver lessons-learned reports upon project completion.

• Write test plans and test cases following industry-standard documentation formats and organizational guidelines.

• Present findings, risks, and recommendations to project stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging QA automation tools and testing techniques to enhance productivity and coverage.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and manual/automation testing.

• Proficiency in writing and executing detailed test plans, test cases, and defect reports.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive test cases from business and technical requirements.

• Experience with test management tools (like JIRA, TestRail, or similar) and defect-tracking systems.

• Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies, ensuring test coverage in every sprint or release.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work independently under broad guidance while meeting strict timelines and quality standards.

• Good understanding of risk-based testing approaches and their application in real-world projects.

Expected Salary:

For a Software QA Engineer in Bengaluru with 3+ years of experience, the salary typically ranges from ₹6 LPA to ₹10 LPA, depending on skills, expertise, and project exposure. Professionals with additional automation or domain knowledge may earn at the higher end of this range.
